Dominguez Family Restaurant, 3313 50th Street East, Minneapolis

This building was originally Joe and Eddie’s Drive-In from 1953 to 1970, located at 4454-4460 Minnehaha Avenue.  The building was moved to 3313 50th Street East for the Practical Gifts gift shop in 1971.

Dominguez Family Restaurant opened in 2006.  It’s most famous endorsement is from Slug of Atmosphere, in their record, The Family Sign, Slug has a song dedicated to his wife Jessi Prusha, “She’s Enough,” one lyric states “she wanna eat so we went to Dominguez.”   Slug posted this on his Twitter feed:  “fun fact. in “she’s enough” i shout out dominguez family restaurant. it’s my favorite local eatery, outside of my own home. #thefamilysign.”

This is near my house, yet I’ve never eaten there. Gonna have to change that in 2012…
